Stepping into Lauderdale is like stepping into the mythological good old days. In Lauderdale, neighbors know you and greet you with a friendly hello. Blessed with an abundance of starter homes, Lauderdale is one of the few metro cities to have accomplished the task of creating a mix of housing choices -- providing attractive options for people of all income ranges. The city also allows people of all ages to communicate. Older residents who have lived here much or all of their lives make up a substantial part of the population, but younger citizens, just starting out or attending the nearby universities make up over a third of the mix. Older parents and their children fill out the rest of the population – creating a city where every block is likely to have someone born in each decade of the last eighty years.  Website
